Last month marked the launch of the Interreg North-West Europe project PREWAPHARM. This initiative aims to significantly reduce pharmaceutical pollution in water through cross-border collaboration and shared expertise. It brings together the pharmaceutical and water technology sectors to connect, learn from one another, and work toward common solutions. Action pilot plans will feature initiatives ranging from in-pharmacy trials to innovative filtration technologies.

This project brings together 18 full partners—including the University of Groningen, the University of Lille, and Ghent University—collaborating through joint research efforts to drive progress toward a more sustainable future.
